mycobag set up.

i started my first grow about 3 weeks ago.i wanted it to be easy so i ordered 4 mycobags (grain based)from a store and i used a 10cc b+ spore syringe.i inoculated aprox.1cc in each bag.i built an incubator out of 2 tup-a-wer bins and a fish tank heater,and placed them in there.i keep the tempature around 80-90 degrees.like i said its been 3 weeks and ive only seen a little white fuzz on one of the bags.did i do something wrong?any suggestions or comments .

Everything seems perfect!..... Choosing pre-sterilized mycobags is a great decision for starting!... 1cc spore solution for each bag is ok but you have to be patient!... For faster colonisation, you should have used more spore solution... (also depends on how dark is the solution) Like 4cc,5cc,... e.t.c. , if you want'em to colonize as fast as a grain jar innoculated with 1cc of spore solution.

i put a damp rag down underneath them and one on top of them.there in like little block formations,(they came that way)there flat on the bottom of the tup-a-wer,kind of just sitting there spread out.there is no sign of contamination and none of the bags got water in them.there are filter patchs but i have kept them dry.

sounds like no enougth air is getting in, try placing somthing underneath them to keep them of the base(as this gets hotter) and remove the top rag, also make sure the filter patches are free from being covered and take the lid of the incubator once or twice a day to allow in fresh air.

Good luck with them, and yes try to stablise at 80?f if you can.

be patient with the myco bags it took me two months before i even started fuiting with my first myco bags.i try to keep my temp ab out 80 to 84 don't let it get over 85. and try to keep it stable not always fluctiating.and if you have the top on the tupperware container cut some 3/4 holes in them.
