I think it's funny hearing about everyone saying they want to be fucked up if they go skydiving.

Just experience it man  :hippie:

Besides, you can always take these drugs and sit on your couch while experiencing the same thing, especially if you already know what it is supposed to feel like.


Man, I want to be so fucked up I wake up on the ground with EMS hoisting me onto a gurney since I am non responsive and acting all weird.

Well, see even with tandem skydiving you play an impotant role. You have to arch your back and watch your arms and momentum until you stabilize.

If you check the video youl notice shortly after jumping i got lost in the excitement and wasnt paying attention to my bodies movement and i sent us sideways just as the balloon shot out but my instructur quickly corrected it.  and when you land you have to ensure your feet are in front of you or coming at the ground correctly or you can send you and your instructor faceplanting into the ground.

so doing something as ridiculous as DMT or being really drunk that could inhibit your ability to execute these simple manuvers would not only put your life at risk, but that of your instructors :super:

That was an awesome video. I've always wanted to do this, this video might have pushed me over the edge. Looks scary as fuck until you actually leave the plane. My heart would be leaping out of my chest. I know there are a couple of places around here that do it. I'm going to look into it.

but forreal tho.. OP, did the instructor give you a few instructions about how your should hold your hands.. And hold your head back (chin up)??

I havent done this yet but!... I've done that fan room thing in florida thats supposed to stimulate a skydiving experience!  it was pretty badd ass

its alot harder than you think. it's painful.. atleast it was for me kinda

the instructions were..

hold your hands in front of your face in a cupping position.

look up as far as you can.. that was kinda painful really lol

arc your back as far as you can which was the worst..

those instructions i just gave you were all just to stay afloat against the wind.  I could barely do it at all. its alootttt harder than you think big time! 

Then after that 5-10min period. the instructor grabbed on to you by your one arm (right) and one leg (right).  He controlled all the motion so he was flipping us and spinning us redicilously fast. it was amazing! lol and that was about it.  got a dvd of me tho but I don't want to up load as it will take forever..

So what altitude did you jump from? My first time was 16k feet and it gave a solid minute of free fall. I was first out of the plane and was able to hold hands with the dudes going solo so we were spinning around and we would let go and fly away for each other. So sick. If they made a drug that felt like the ride up in the plane, standing outside the plane about to jump, then the excitement of the fre fall, plus the 4 hours after you landed, I'd be addicted to it. Or I'd just die from base jumping

I went.  It was the coolest thing ever.  I had always wanted to go. My GF at the time had a fear of heights.  One day she just says "I'm sick of this fear - let's go skydiving!"  I'm like HELL YEAH!  We go up in the plane and they ask who wants to go first.  These macho dopey type dudes are shaking in their boots and shuffling to the back.  My tiny little GF jumps to the front and says "ME!"  She goes right up like a badass and jumps right out.  I was so proud I could cry.  I went next.  What a great day.

All i had to do was arc my back and tilt my head back when we first left the plane so that my instructor ended up on top after that i could do whatever until the landing where depending how fast we were coming in i would have to either slide or land on my feet.

It was just 9000 ft and a little over 30 secs of freefall.

My mom agreed to do it if we pay for it so me and my brother are splitting the price. When she goes ill be doing the 1800 ft dive for 90 secs of freefall :laugh:
