That made you sound dumb.  Not saying you are, but based on that comment I'm quite sure you've never tried to make a legitimate "EDM" type song on a computer so why say some dumb shit like that?  It proves nothing except for the fact that you are ignorant as to the different forms of skill that can be required to produce music of varying genres.


I was more or less kidding, I like a lot of EDM.  I do however prefer the combination of a live band with someone producing, it sounds more interesting to me.

Well in that case, right on.  I have no opinion on other people's personal preference but there's so many people who say what you said with no knowledge of what really goes in to making good electronic music.  It's no different than regular 'analog' music.  Lots of that stuff is garbage too.  Sorry if I came off as defensive, I was just having a conversation with a friend about that same topic.

making electronic music is often widely different than analog music.  analog music is skill based, eletronic music is knowledge based.
