Gabapentin And Benzodiazapines

So, like alcohol and benzo's, gabapentin, and more recently pregabalin has been introduced, which mimic the properties of the previously mentioned, with some exceptions of course.

So my question is, would it be worth trying a generic Lyrica (pregabalin) to help reuce the usage of my other anxiety medications? Or would it even be worth the money?

Ive taken 3000-3500mg of gabapentin and 1 beer, .5mg xanax. I almost died, dont do it at really high doses

Gabapentin and pregabalin are very different drugs.

Neurontin and lyrica.

You want pregabalin if you want to get high.

neither one is recreational in my opinion.



  you're not going to decrease your dependence on the benzos by taking another drug.

The only way to stop the benzos is to stop the benzos.

Exactly, neither do benzos. Dont confuse stupor with euphoria!

Thanks guys for the responses, so the answer is yes, but DO NOT do at high dose, by the way, is what you took considered a high dose?

3000+ would be a large dose.

I was taking 500mg twice a day. (gabapentin)

I got nothing I would call a positive effect from it.

Dropped it when my insurance ran out.  Too expensive for something that barely did anything.
