I was working the other day and I picked up a pack of silica beads. At my work we have a shit load of shoes and lots of these packs. i just realized that you could use it. Does anyone ever use these little packs.

It's been done.
Just throw those in a dried bag of mushrooms to keep them dry... same way they do with beef jerky and whatnot.

You can also empty out a teabag, fill the contents with dessicant, and then reseal the teabag and use that.

junebug tried silica beads once and damp rid works much better,its only like 3-5 dollars a box n if u fan dry first one box will go a long way
