Modding fallout new vegas on the xbox 360 without a jtag

Ok, i have never modded a game on a 360. By mod i dont mean edit the gamesave on a USB drive, i want to add the marijuana mod :awehigh:

I don't know that it's possible.
I could tell you how to flash your drive. Never heard of anyone actually modding a game. Hmmmm... :strokebeard:

Only game I've modded was Halo for the old XBox. Changing gun stats and effects around, fun shit!

Haven't kept up with the scene so I can't help. :shrug:

You may want to try browsing xbox360iso.com.
It's a memory-hog of a website which is quite irritating, but if you can't find a thread on the topic there, it's probably more trouble than it's worth. I've seen everything on there from controller modding to attempting to portablize a 360 to manipulating gamerscores. It's at least worth the cursory skim.
Best of luck to you. If you actually figure out how to do it, post your findings. I'd be interested in applying some mods to Skyrim!

I would assume that the first step will be flashing the drive, which they'll have plenty of info on. It seems like that would be crucial since your drive must be flashed in order to run a game from burnable media, and the only way you would be able to mod the game (without a jtag console) would be to edit the files within the ISO before burning the game. If you haven't done so already, this flashing process will take some time, patience, and a little money.

I actually have a older xbox 360 that i can flash. Im going to do that tommorow i guess, i may also Jtag my xbox, can you flash and jtag or would that be pointless?

I don't have any experience with jtagging, but from what i can remember reading it would indeed be pointless; with a jtag you can simply put the game on the hard drive, circumventing the drive completely.
But from what I understand, and someone correct me if I'm wrong cause I'm not 100%, the chief requirement for a jtag is a console that has not been updated since like 2006.

Ok well i found it all out now. I jtagged my xbox and can use xlast (if i can ever fucking find it, i believe its illegal) to convert pc mods to xbox dlc's.
I can also download pre modded gamesaves for skyrim.

This is correct they patched the jtag mod so if you have a xbox thats has a certain dashboard or lower you can jtag it if it higher then you cant.

But you can rgh it which is like jtaging.
