I finally ordered the Shpongle cd: "Are You Shpongled?"
Fuckin awesome. I was preparing for it because of all the hype I've been hearing, but it still blew me away. It is reeeaaaallly good.
I am getting all their cd's in chronological order. Gotta burn out on this one first.

They only have two at the moment. The second album, Tales of the Inexpressible, is a lot more upbeat and world-infused. I enjoy both albums immensely...but think the second one is a stronger album; both musically and psychedelically.

oh i thought they had a 3rd Divine Moments of Truth.. it was listed as an album insome music directory...
yea this shit is really good, such a smooth electronic / organic synthesis
it's intense though, actually its inspiring me to make some hardcore rock music with my band.

that other album is a SINGLE cd, with various remixes of the track Devine Moments of Truth (or DMT) - DMT is track six on Shpongle I (Are You Shpongled?)

Similar vein of music, but not completely identical.

yes the Shulman album definitely captures the Shpongle vibe at times it is really good, but not fully on par with Shpongle in my opinion. Another Shpongle-influenced album is "Entheogenic - Entheogenic" the journeys between tracks and psychedelic vibe of each tune is great - they thank Shpongle in the inside cover. Apparently these guys used to work for E-Magic, the company that makes the LogicAudio series of audio production software.. I don't doubt this because these guys seem to know their stuff. They made this album after an ayahuasca experience, to tell of it. One of my other favorite albums is "The Fireman - Rushes," an unexpected project done by Beatles "star" Paul McCartney and electronic wizard Youth (Posford fans would be familiar with Youth from the Dub Trees and Liquid Dub albums). They create some awesome sonic spotlights in this one, and it has a lot of Shponglesque qualities <- I highly recommend that Shpongle fans check this one out.... If you don't like any of McCartney's other things, don't let that turn you off - this is wildly off-course from his other projects IMO. be wary of his earlier Fireman album... its more of a "single" type thing where its all remixes of the same song
