Well, there are way more guys here than girls so it makes sense that most posts are about women as devils. Truth is, humans are - men and women alike. People make the bad choices they do for a variety of reasons (guilt, scared to look like the bad guy, upbringing, etc.), not that they are justified though.

So to balance it, here's some guys are devils stories:

1) two boyfriends left me for previous girlfriends
2) one boyfriend (whom I was living with) dumped me cause he didn't like how drastically different I changed my hair from when we met
3) one isolated me from friends and family - told me he didn't want to share me with my parents - and was physically abusive if I disobeyed
4) one of my closest friends of 10 years started flirting with me, eventually admitted to loving me, got me in bed and then told me he felt too much guilt for it and never spoke to me again
5) one threatened to kill himself if I left him
6) and then there's my ex-husband, who seemed to have no problem with not having a job for 10 fucking years and letting me support us

Not sure I consider any of these stories sad though. Lots of people tend to have issues and shit happens. I'm sure I probably wasn't 100% morally correct with every single guy I dated. Most of the time I'd say this happens with younger adults and then growth occurs (hopefully) and people are more mature emotionally. Not all the time of course. But sad would be the one that I loved who committed suicide. This was long after we stopped dating but my feelings for him had never faded and we were friends. Don't know if that will ever stop haunting me.

Anyway, things happen for a reason I guess. I'm in a good place now and that's all that matters. I hope to stay in this place.

I'm sorry that that happened to you OP. I agree with others that she probably had this lined up and I'm guessing it feels like it diminishes all that you had. This is a reflection upon her though - not you.

Oh, wind and rain they haunt me. Look to the North and pray.
Send me, please, his kisses. Send them home today.
I'm begging, Jesus, please. Send his love to me.

because they are :cookiemonster: we live in a society geared towards male disposability, with the pussy on pedestal, feminism as state doctrine, cries of oppression about the patriarchy, and way more than I care to list all to aid in state oppression/extraction/destruction/extortion of WHO? the producers, the inventors, the makers, the shakers, the movers and doers - MEN. this is a global phenomenon.

To think you found "the one" and the exception is to demonstrate an insane level of naivety regarding this issue. You men in relationships who read this will do a few things - first, denial. You will deny these truths and assail the messenger, me, claiming I'm bitter, misogynist, general shaming tactics, & etc. In reality I am seeing clear and sober as a single man, while you are not clear because your dick is wet and you have someone to cuddle with. You will do this because of cognitive dissonance as well, and don't want to confront the cold hard truth.

She is not the exception, there are almost NO exceptions. NAWALT aka not all women are like that, is a hilarious deflection to this central understanding that modern feminism has invaded the totality of society at its core.

Go ahead, disregard this post. When you wake up one day broken up, divorced, with your kids taken, house taken, facing jail time if you miss child support payments, while she is sleeping with your "best friend", wondering what the hell happened to that perfect romance you thought you had, or deceived yourself you were having - you'll realize the cold, hard, truth.

--------------------

And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
