Polyfil question

I heard that this guy was using polyfil to fill the holes on his jar lids. After he PCs the jars, I think he was wondering if he would innoculate by poking the needle through the polyfil? He thinks this has already been answered but could only find a tek on how to make the lids. He thanks you in advance and appreciates your help.

Yes you inoc through the polyfill.

Or you make a small second hole for inoculation and put a piece of tape pn, and take it off during the inoculation.

if you needle is pointy and sharp.. it will go thru the polyfill just fine!

i'd just do ANTHING that anno says... but... ya know.

I'd recommend tyvek instead of polyfill. You use a nice sized patch of Tyvek under the lid and ring while PCing, and then you just hold down the tyvek, unscrew the lid and ring, and then innoc through the tyvek at the edge. It's very simple, and probably even better at keeping contams out than the polyfill is.
