Well, he was just drafted and probaby had too much that night.  Now that he had a lot of money I think it's also likely that he was doing coke that was much stronger than what he was used to.

Bias' mother believes that it was his first time doing coke, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  I know our health teacher told us in high school that Len Bias did drugs for the first time ever and overdosed.  Good way to scare 15 year olds from drugs, I guess.
