Good progress for a 1st timer? (pics)
    #1665805 -

Hi guys. I haven't posted here in a while and thought I might check in and get some feedback on my friends grow.

He inoculated 2 1 pint glass drinking cups and wrapped them in tin foil for a seal. The inoculation was done 6/7/03. They are Hawaiian PES from thelitleguy.com .

Here they are, 19 days into mycelium growth. How do they look?

The 2nd batch was started 6/18, 8 days ago. They were done a bit differently, with 1/2 pint jars this time. There are a total of 6 jars but only 4 have started showing growth. Here they are

Well, how do they look? Any feedback and tips on how to fruit would be greatly appreciated.

The growth looks normal. Good job. You shouldn't have much more of a wait with the first two. Good luck.

about how long do you think it will be until we can get a harvest out of the 1st jar? The mycelium is not completely grown around the side of the jar but we predict that in about 3-4 days it will be done.

Oh and also, when should we start pinning and how should it be done?

The first two jars, after another few days of incubation, you can probably see mushrooms forming within the next 10-14 days.

You'll want to set them into fruiting conditions when they are completely colonized... Temperatures in the 70s, high humidity, light and air exchanges 2-6 times a day.
