photoshop/fireworks question

I have an image that I would like to invert so that the normal right side faces to the left and normal left faces to the right. I suppose this would be called a mirror image. How can I do this? Seems quite simple, but I am not sure how.

If someone could give me some direction, I'd greatly appreciate it.

in photoshop 7 under the edit menu is a submenu called "transform"

edit -> transform -> . . .

Image > rotate canvas > flip canvas horizontal

you could cut/new/paste one half of it, then horizontally flip it, do the same with the other half. the nake a new document that is the size of the original (not cut) and paste your reversed halves onto it.
