paypal is a dick

everytime i use it  adding money has become more and more a pain in the ass

i gave that site all my information when i signed up and i used it then  so why would it need more information now.  wants me to send in a photo ID and social security card  etc            i don't have time or patience to fuck around with this site anymore  :boo:


i guess i'mma have to get a credit card :mad:

do not give paypal your SSN, my bank didnt get it when I opened a checking
account because it didnt pay interest, they have an oblication to report
deposits over $10k and that should only appear on the IRS form they send in
and I periodically review my account information, if they take info from
the form and apply it to my account I close my account because they've
breached my trust

it won't let me add funds to my paypal otherwise

is my best option getting a credit card then?  i already have a checking account

i don't even kno how to get a credit card tho,  or pay for the charges i would put on it.  i don't wana be one of those derps that end up in thousands of debt over interest culminating from late fees

Are you sure you are dealing with Paypal and not some phishing site?  Paypal has never asked me for my SSN.  I logged in just yesterday and did not get any notice or anything to provide more personal information. If you keep having issues, call them on the phone. You may have some DNS virus that is re-routing you to a phishing site.

I just opened an account a few dayas ago. I tried to deposit 100$ from my bank account, cash was taken from my account but is still not on my paypal :albundy:

It takes 3-5 days to do an ACH transfer. It's the same for paypal, stock brokerage accounts, or other banks. Wire transfers are much faster but normally you are charged a fee for them.

I've been using paypal for several years with no problems. One time a guy ripped me off, so I filed a claim to get my money back. They asked for me to scan my drivers lisence and email it to them in addition to a bill with the address and my name on it to prove I have residency (like a cable bill). After a week of them reviewing my claim I got my money refunded and did not have any problems at all during this whole process.

I forget specifically why, but I gave paypal my SSN when I needed to do something that my current account status did not allow (they needed it for "identity verification purposes"). I'm fine with paypal having my SSN because I use it only use for legitimate purposes, so I don't really see a reason to be all paranoid about it. I know they aren't a bank and my deposit with them isn't FDIC insured, but I normally keep a small balance in it anyways and I can always use their "claims" process to insure my money is safe.

I tought as soon as my money would be out my bank account it would be in paypal's one.

Yeah, I've been sayin it for quite some time, paypal is just a middleman to take your money, it isn't necessary really. Use a Debit card imo to save a bunch of money.

I don't use paypal at all, if a site doesn't want to accept debit, then I just go somewhere else.

shit my money is still not on my paypal account and it was withdrawed on july 5, I saw estimated time was today tho, but well today is today.

I tried to find a way to contact them but it look like they'll go great lenght to avoid it

too bad its the "easiest" payment method this vendor will take....
