Would an undercover soliciting you for drugs equal entrapment?

If an undercover officer offered you drugs, and they came to you and offered them to you, rather than you approaching them and asking them for drugs, wouldn't that equal entrapment?

My understanding is generally no. They would need to actively persuade you to buy them thereby putting you in a position to do something you wouldn't normally do.

In theory yes, but don't expect to win in court with that argument.

Entrapment is an obsolete defense anymore. It stopped working in the 80's.

Yeah. All of your drug history is going to come out at trial once you claim entrapment. Then you're fucked.
