Sand color subtrate
    #16509151 -

Just a small bit of the subtrate has turned a sand color, could that be contamination?

It's probably just drying out. How many times a day do you mist/fan?

I could give more help if you explained what your fruiting chamber is.

Are you doing the pf tek and using a sgfc with perlite?

Or are you saying that you have brf cakes and verm colonizing inside of a sealed jar? If the latter is correct than DONT open the sealed jar or this will introduce contaminates.

Fan- take fc lid off, wave it back and forth directing fresh air at subsrate
Mist- take a squirt bottle, set to mist not stream, spray a fine mist above fc and let it settle on substrate.

Also if you are infact in the fruiting chamber stage make sure you mist than fan. Not the other way around.
