Have you ever heard a hawk "chirp" before?
    #16508616 -

I'm not talking about that squawking/screeching that hawks do. They make a low(ish) volume chirp sound.

There's a big ass red-tailed hawk sitting on the roof of my building and I think it's trying to call a mate. It sounds like a combo of a rusty swing set and a screaming little girl. It's an awful, awful noise. I'd get a pic of it but I know by the time my camera battery is charged it'll fly away.

On second thought, it wasn't a red tailed hawk. I saw it fly away and I think it was a broad-winged hawk.

I gotta be honest.  I don't encounter a lot of hawks on a day to day basis.  But using logic:  Hawk are birds.  Birds chirp.  Therefore by the transitive property, hawks can chirp.

Hawks aren't birds. They're flying death machines with feathers and talons.
