how does cobweb react to peroxide?

i had a cbweb mold scare today, i misted the cake in question with straight 3% hydrogen peroxide and it bubbled in a similar way that an infected wound would with peroxide. is this a normal reaction to cobweb mold?

Unless it melted into nothing, you probably just misted your cake with peroxide :lol:

ide imagine just moe FAE at early sightings of cobwed, would help alot.. even just a little.. big cases.. might want some peroxide or something.. but even just regular water sends it back.. i dont think its like trich and eats everything in its path..

If there's active cobweb mold, always spray until soaking wet three times at 12 hour intervals with 3% H2O2(straight from the brown bottle if you're in the USA) whether you see the cobweb returning or not.  This ensures it's nuked for good.

If what you see doesn't melt and disappear on contact, then it wasn't cobweb(Dactyllium), which is the only mold you can control with peroxide.
