Ordering peruvian torch over the internet..

Help me i'm paranoid!  :um:
Over five months ago i ordered some peruvian torch over the internet and I guess it's illegal here cause i haven't recieved it yet..
And now this morning i've found a note on my door and there's a number on it and it says that it's about some package...so i guess it's a courier but it might be cops...
now the question is.. if it's a trap and the mailman comes with the cops tomorrow do they have a right to search my house for more evidence/ should i destroy/hide my lovely plants like right now??

Which country you are in makes a huge difference. In the US there would be little to worry about. I assume you ordered from South America? Try to source locally next time or buy live cacti

People in the UK/Australia have been busted in a manner that you describe.

If you have a trusted friend who can take care of your stuff (and I mean anything questionable!) that is a good idea before going to get the package, but it doesn't mean you have nothing to worry about still. It just means that your plants might escape unscathed and hopefully there will be doubt as to your intentions with a lack of other evidence.

Thanks for the response (: It was ordered from Holland and I live in Lithuania, trichocereus spp are not included in the scheduled substances list but now it seems that it's still illegal.
I'll hide my stuff. But what if i don't call the courier and just leave the package there, pretending that there was a mistake and it's not mine, am i still going to get busted?

If you just leave it, it will probably be shipped back to Holland eventually.

You might still get busted if they care enough. Either way it is probably worth it to disperse your questionable things for a bit. Unfortunately if you just leave the package, you'll have to wait longer to feel "safe" again.

That sounds super sketch...I don't know what the drug laws are like over in Lithuania. I do know that anything from Holland or the Netherlands is very highly scrutinized. In the U.S. we would get a "love letter" that is clearly identified being from customs that asks us to claim ownership of the package, and then we ignore the letter and are fine. I would suggest doing the same but this note sounds like it is anonymous? Like it is not something you would mistake for junk mail or a scam and throw away? If so then you are dealing with a more rogue breed of police enforcement and I am not sure what to tell you.

Either do not respond, or respond and play dumb, and deny any claim to or knowledge of the package. Get rid of incriminating evidence.
