Mushroom ID Switzerland

#16355144 - 06/09/12 08:24 AM (14 years, 4 months ago)

Hello,

I've always liked mushrooms but unfortunately I don't know how to recognize them..

Anyway a few mushrooms have grown in my tomato compost, it's been raining for quite a few days here and it's been real foggy. (its spring so its quite warm too)

Habitat: My tomato compost in my balcony

Gills: Grayish Brown

Stem: Brownish, 2 CM thick

Cap: Intense Brown/Khaki almost yellow... more intense towards the center of the cap

Bruising: The one that opened completely lost a bit of color.

Location: Southern Switzerland

Here are some pictures of them:

I take they're all the same species, they've grown on like 3 of my pots...

Id like to thank yall before hand and hopefully these are edibles

It is a Psathyrella species. Possibly Psathyrella incerta.

Hey guys...

Thanks everyone for your quick replies...

I just googled some Psathyrella incerta pictures and I;m pretty sure they're the ones growing on my compost.

Thx a lot guys for the quick ID... I was crossing my fingers hoping they'd turn out to be psycoactive :P... From what I read it, it looks like they're not even edible!

But anyway I'm happy they've come visit my balcony, they look so pretty... Im spraying them with water and keeping them in the shade so the sun doesnt kill them!

Again thx everyone!
