Steer Manure Blend

I went about town looking for some compost to spawn. Closest I could find was some Steer Manure blend at my local hardware store. The bag says it's a blend of Steer Manure & Compost. The 15 lb bag cost just under a buck.

Anyone tried this before? Should it work okay? Whatcha think? =)

Assuming it does not contain an anti-fungal it should work.

I read somewhere that with compost it is best to not case.. just fruit directly. Would that hold true for this steer/compost blend?
