Is there any special way I should dispose of this?

I'm worried about the other jars and how long they sat close to the infected one. :frown:

Place jar in a small pot filled with water, cover pot with matching lid. the water should go about half way up the jar. Boil for 30 mins to kill the contamination, and throw out in garbage/compost.

If you're putting it in your kitchen garbage, dump it into a plastic grocery bag/ziploc, then throw it in the main garbage. Makes less mess.
