dude.....it was way to hot for this fat kid! if the wind was blowing then the 90degrees wouldnt have been so bad. Next rain should be some nice pics. The mycelium is nice and primed.

edit* i am surprised that the copes were out up here though.......usually its alot hotter when they pop in.

i've been looking for wild shrooms in the panhandle and coastal alabama area for over a year...still haven't found one active, which is why i grow my own now. i know you can't give locations. but maybe you could give me some hunting tips?

hm......my pm's are fuked.......you can pm me but i cant pm back. The area your speaking of is nice.....
    Tip: The farther from town and more effort it can take to get there usually the better pay off. AND the less competition.one place i hike to is an hour and 120minute drive then twenty minutes through the woods. but the back three fields are isolated and can take time doing a grid search of the entire thing. Had to beat a rabid fox with my walking stick a couple years ago but besides that no probs and always big payoff.
