I'm going to guitar center to mix on some cdj's

It will be my first time using turntables, I have a mix put together thats around 30 minuets so far and I like it allot. I think it will be allot of fun.

They'll probably have 2 cdj-800 mkii's out? Whatever they have I'll be extremely happy to be able to use.

Anytips? should I bring cd's or flash drives or both? I don't know about the effects on it either or if it has any, but I think if I just sit back let the music play it'll be be ok :]

burn audio cd-s from lossless files, the quality difference of lossless/lossy makes a difference on bigger soundsystems

what kind of music are you going to play??

I might mess around with some drum & bass ('run DMT' from my city) at first like 2 songs. But then I'm going to play my trance mix, now this is the biggining of it but it gets allot crazier with dancing type stuff towards the last half. I just keep addin songs to it. I could make it an hour probably.

Oh yeah some of my stuff is flac, some is mp3, a couple are youtube rips :[, it'll be alright.

I know some times they are really bad :/. HD rips are like 256kbps I think.

i take it they have a setup correct? speakers and equipment? don't take cds... plug in ur flash for sure. how many gigs? u said cdj so jog wheels? what kind of program u running for your mixing tool? bringing a laptop? yeah YouTube rips suck ass...

Sounds like he is just going to be using the display decks and mixer.

Just burn some cds. Quality isnt going to matter on their demo system unless you just download pure shit 128 bs. Wav or mp3 doesnt matter. I think cdj's play both most likely(cant be sure)

mp3 means you can bring a lot more music.

Ugh I hate that tiny dj room in the back of the guitar centers. It used to be a neglected area but now that these dj controllers and software have gotten so huge. the dj room is not a barren wasteland you pass by to checkout speakers and amps anymore.

Iv'e seen a guitar center with turntables setup when I was a kid. My friend in Kansas says he used to go mix on them all the time.

It should just be a normal cdj dj setup maybe slightly cheaper cdj's, so yes jog wheel, I don't really need one I'm just gonna have to beatmatch this stuff I guess? I use traktor, maped only to my computer keyboard right now
