I think all in all, it is less about these "artists" and more about the fact that society eats up whatever is fed to them. In turn that manifests "artists" who are less of a genuine individual and more about appealing to society...except society is not the force that is in control, it's the businessmen who decide what they are going to put their resources into marketing. It's all backwards. I really feel as if there is a subconscious agreement that since it is on the radio, it has been "approved" by those who know what good music is, and it becomes popular because this subtle suggestion is presented to them frequently.

I could maybe compare it to people who live and die knowing only cigarettes and alcohol. They're just making the best of what they have to work with. That is sort of the heart of this issue, IMO.



just so you know, I love all genres of music. Music is for everyone. I'm just stating what I perceive, or my personal opinion.
