Standard "effects" and clothing of Undercover Informants

Since this is the internet and none of you know any of my friends, I can report something VERY, VERY important to the community here.

Now I haven't been in trouble in years, but a very young friend of mine got popped for some H, or some other class 1 or 2 Opiate (They never reported back to him.) He got charged, and it being his first offense, had to do probation for a year.

He agreed to do undercover work, but all it got him was the same thing as the first offender's deal would have got him -- the year probation. He says that every undercover informant, including himself, can be easily recognized by these effects and attributes:

They always wear a dark shirt with a collared neck. It has three buttons on it, the lowest button is an incredibly small camera that records everything in its view.

They always put a pager on undercover informants, even though no one uses them anymore. It records audio, and is usually inside the pants or a jacket, seeing as informants are hip and understand no one uses them anymore, so they hide them.

There is always a "wire" taped to the informant. Sometimes on the chest, sometimes on the leg, can be under the arm. He says he did three jobs and they tried all three, no shit.

That's two pieces of technology that are easily identified, if you want to go through the "trouble" of patting your friends down. But in this day in age, the trouble could be not doing it.

And.. one piece of technology not easily identified, but can now be recognized by the dark, collared shirt.


It is very interesting and amusing: He said he showed up in court the final court date, and the cops he worked with weren't there, and the commonwealth attorney said that she knew he was working for them, but that the detectives never contacted her about the actual work he did.  Worthless fucking pigs.

I'll tell you one more thing.. he says that whilst sitting in undercover cars waiting and watching for things to happen, there were crimes going on around him.. a lady got her purse stolen, a fight ensued with injury, and the cops didn't even seem to take notice of it. They were more interested in acquiring the "juice of a flower"(heroin), for Christ's sakes.

Ya man thats a bunch of BS, or this is specific to your area of residence. I did two years in the joint for selling drugs to a CI and he didn't wear a wire nor did he wear a dark collared shirt.

Your friend is a fucking lowlife if you haven't figured that out, why would you continue to hang out with someone like that?

I doubt they need a pager or a wire, must be old school cops. A cell phone in the pockets works.

I know a guy that got busted for H. He had to use a cell phone and a pen camera (placed behind his ear). But for a warrant, audio or informant testimony is all they need for a warrant to search the place for drugs. It must suck going through life being a narc, and knowing people want to kill you.

Mp3 players can record audio very well also.

I no longer have the catalog but I used to have one that had what was
available to cops, I'll tell you now, if you want to be sure someone isnt
an informant, strip them naked, stuff a pipe in their ass  and conduct the
business in the deep end of a swimming pool

none of the devices they had were pagers, there were cigarette packs, hats,
cars and trucks and even things as thin as an envelope that transmitted
video, it was some incredibly high tech stuff and much of it you'd never
suspect as surveillance gear

Well, I tried to get him out of the lifestyle. I drink poppy, he still does H to this day.

..  and when I say my friend, I mean my "friend", as in someone that I know but have second thoughts about.

No, I do not "hang out" with him still, for the obvious reasons. He did confide in me enough to tell me this a few months ago at a gathering. Everyone now knows, because of me, that he is a Narc..
