cap:light brown

My rly rly rly noobish guess is some kind of galerina

Don't think it's in Galerina, but I can't really say what it might be. Psathyrella (sic) maybe?

A better description would help.  Can't tell how big it is.  Was is growing from the dirt or from buried wood?  Did you take a spore print?


That info would help a lot.

Almost anything you try the first time is fun(might not be pleasant though).

Agrocybe pediades has been described as edible, but other Agrocybes have not.  This mushroom is not active.

And while I think this is A. pediades, I don't feel confident enough in an ID here to recommend eating.

That's kinda what I was trying to say.  When there are so many better mushrooms to eat I wouldn't waste a thought on Agrocybe.
