I really do hate Christian holidays though. It's 30 minutes past midnight here and i've already had to close my facebook for the night simply to not have half of my friends hate me tomorrow. "remember the reason for the holiday, Jesus Christ who died for us, blah, blah, blah, blah..." just shoot me.

Tell me about it bro... I was raised Catholic and actually went to Catholic schools for much of my childhood, so the whole Jesus and Easter thing... yeah it rubs me wrong in a special way.

Yea I was raised Presbyterian actually, but contrary to what normal presbys do, we had a lot of catholic influence. Christianity is so damned stupid.

Also, the bible is what you make it.

take it literally and it becomes a childrens' story which is obviously not true. This is how you have chosen to interpret it, as a child would (as creationists do, fellow children)

Taken allegorically and metaphorically it is a wonderful book about how to live your life and a belief system surrounding love and tolerance.

you would do well to study the words of Jesus, not what the catholic church turned him into.

(and i'm not even christian....)
