Make no mistake...everything you say on this site IS potential evidence...

Of course, all evidence has to be authenticated...in this case, that means putting YOU at the keyboard typing the actual words...That is quite a hefty task...

Even if it were authenticated, it isn't enough to convict you...It MIGHT be enough to get a warrant to search your place...and if they found something, they really wouldn't need your online confession...

Bottom line:  Sure...there is a tiny, tiny amount of risk associated with it, but the resources necessary to actually make any of this useful are so high that it is highly unlikely to be an issue...ever.

The best way to control it, is through psycology. They like to use intimidation and fear tactics, but the truth is there are just to damn many of us. They are afraid of the internet and the power it gives us (knowledge). We win through sheer numbers.

Logistically if the feds were to bust the shroomery they would probably need to build like 10 new prisons lol. the cost of the trial would be huge. imagine all the shroomerites getting hella attornys to fight the cases. it would backfire so huge if they tried to bust this site hahahaha

go right ahead. If i was a cop I would disregard that terminology, because obviously that person is trying to get info without saying they did it. They can look up your IP address, figure out what OS you're using and all sorts of crazy shit. That being said, you're SAFE here. Alan Rockefeller and a few other mods/admins were talking in another thread that there has never been one case where the police have asked for a subpoena from this site.

Also, fuck that other forum.

yea i overall feel pretty safe here at shroomery.

if you spend your time at your computer, and not out raping, murdering, stealing, hurting others, getting high (in public) etc etc etc (you can't do most of that if you are making a forum post)  I have a feeling the police just let you go.

while some of us are sitting inside hitting the bong in the comfort of our own home, and then stay inside and get baked and make more posts, compared to leaving your safe place to go out into the world where cops prey on drug-users..... yea i think you're just safer here, even if you're posting incriminating things, than outside

my opinion anyway..

Also as someone else mentioned - sheer numbers.  There are millions of users here and for now we are all anonymous.  Nothing they can really do about that :thumbup:

Even an 8 year old photo of some noob? ...:blush: I feel safe here.:shrug:, but I'm hardly a target. I haven't sold drugs since I got out of :chaingang: in 1983, and haven't used the microscope in over 4 years.
