Do Squirrels Pray?

I ask because if this happened to a human, there would be much prayer and god-thanking. But when it happens to a squirrel, it's just good luck.

I'm convinced squirrels dare each other to run in front of cars. You see them just chillin on the side of the road, but as you approach in your car they spaz out at the last second and try to cross the road while under your moving vehicle. Sometimes they make it, sometimes they don't.
