First of all, I know based on science, sacred spiritual texts and my own mystical understanding, that when we fall asleep and dream, we are in another plane of reality, I and others call astral planes. In this dream world, I often realize I am dreaming while I am in the dream, keep in mind while you read this story that I was aware I was dreaming which is called lucid dreaming. The dream was about 2 hours long, and this story is the best recollection I can come up with, and as close to the truth as I can get.
I first recall, exploring this very vivid dream city, and noticing that I was completely unaware of my sleeping body, and I reminded myself that when I wake up it will feel less vivid in memory, but despite this I should remember that while in the dream it feels incredibly real and vivid, even though the nature of this astral plane is different and changing, and pain in the dream seems masked, less intense, it feels just as real as waking life. Also pleasure feels more intense, keep this in mind too.
In this dream city, I recall finding a beautiful Shiva temple, For those that don't know Shiva is a mythological symbol/God in the hindu mystical traditions that means different things to different people. To me, he is the symbol of a fully realized being on the astral planes that is one with it all, and is the destroyer of evil, suffering and duality. He is like Christ or Buddha, except that Shiva did not exist as a historical figure in the traditional sense as a human being that realized God consciousness. This Shiva temple had pews that moved up at an angle like in a movie theater. It is well lighted with a huge Shiva statue that shined with divine power. There is a pulpit like in a church, with the preacher painted pure chalk white like Shiva, and having dreadlocks. I don't remember what he or the dream people populating the temple said, but I recall moving up into the pews and sitting right next to a freaking tiger. I sensed the tiger was getting aggressive but as I calmed myself down and eliminated my fear through meditation, the tiger became docile and gentle.
At that point I ran up to the Shiva statue and bowed at the feet of the Lord. I found myself filled with bliss and awareness of the one consciousness that is all time and space, and beyond. Suddenly Elise arrived, and we both decide to get married in the temple. The preacher does a quick ceremony but I don't remember much about it, except that Elise left after-wards to (i assume) do something important so we didn't even get a honeymoon! Suddenly I was surrounded by two tigers, and they started chewing on my hands which really really hurt but much less then it would on the earth reality. So I summoned up my courage, called upon the oneness, and shouted out "I AM SHIVA! SHIVA IS ALL!" I got up and started doing a classic Shiva dance, swinging the tigers around as they were still attached to my hands. The pain went away, and everyone in the temple cheered.
Next thing I remember I am wandering around this dream city with beautiful green futuristic looking buildings and gardens that was constantly changing, populated by a large number of dreamers. I got into an interesting conversation with one of the dreamers. He told me that God is inside him, but he didn't have a subjective consciousness like mine and was having trouble explaining what kind of being he was. I explain to him how wonderful this astral plane is and he agrees. I explain to him that the earth plane of reality is kind of a drag with intense suffering and not as fun as lucid dreaming. I ask him if there is someway I can avoid "waking up" back into my bed on earth, if I could somehow stay on the astral plane and never wake up. He giggles with some secret mystical knowledge, explaining to me that at some point I will be kicked out of this astral plane going back to my earth life but after I die I can stay on the astral plane as long as I want. I ask him what I should do if I want to leave early because I recalled I had a appointment with a possible landlord for a new apartment in the morning (forgetting I set an alarm), He told me just catch any cab and it will take me back to earth.
I continued to wander around the city, walking and sometimes flying like superman, I run into this kid that claims to be my son on the astral plane, I start crying in joy with love for this kid realizing that he is my son on the astral plane and although I don't want to have an earth kid, I don't mind having a son on the astral planes. I spend sometime getting to know him and teaching him to fly, but he seems a little upset knowing that I would have to leave and probably never see him again, oh well.
As the lucid dream nears an end, people in the dream city sing wonderful moving love songs directly to me... not sure if they were actual earth songs or not. I cant recall the lyrics or the tune. I realize all these dream people, this astral plane, is God in drag, and this was God expressing it's unconditional love to me. I felt so loved but started to get anxious about my earth life. I jumped in a random cab, next thing I know I wake up in my bed.
Back on earth!
I feel very happy about life in general and bask in the smell of my girlfriend twin-flame earthly lover lying next to me. Next thing I know my alarm rings.
So what do you think?
