65w 6500K CFL..how far away to germinate cacti seeds?

I want to be sure I do this properly, I have a lot of money tied up in these seeds. My light is a 65w 6500K CFL and I need to know how far away is the optimal distance for sprouting loph and trich and other cacti seeds. Right now the lights are exactly 12" above the seed trays. I can adjust them higher or lower if necessary, please let me know what your informed opinion is!

12 inches should be fine man. CFL's dont put off too much heat. My CFL is 8 inches away from some of my seedlings.

Actually I measured and it's closer to 15 inches away when I take the seed tray height into consideration but I can always adjust it from there. Thanks for the response, I'll leave it as-is and see how many seeds I can sprout.

I'm building another light setup like the one I built today and will measure it for the same height as the first one. I can't wait to see the little guys poke their heads above the soil.
