how lond does it take for marijauna seeds to germinate? Mine have been wraped in a wet paper towel for 3 days now and still nothing??=(

Make sure they are warm, it will make a big difference in germination time.

I just germmed a ton of seed, and what I did since I have a draft apartment, I re-soaked the seeds throughout the day with warm water. Most of mine happened in two days, but there were some stragglers.

a couple of days up to a week and you'll have germination. if any longer they probably aren't viable and will mold.

i have found the faster the germination the stronger the plant, stronger being plants that grow faster and have better success rates, not potency, although one could guess the healthier plant would be more potent.
and i agree seeds that take more than a week are highly likely to rot, and if they do germinate they seem to be weaker plants.

and higher germinating temps are needed for some tropical varieties, and i seem to have quicker germination when i soak my seeds in a seaweed fertilizer.

room temp this time of year in some areas might result in very slow germination, putting the seeds on an ambient heat source might be wise.

but i've also read that it can take up to two weeks, so i usually never give up on the seeds until they rot or something, just in case they are slow starters or something, i would hate to throw out some viable seeds. that would be like chucking out mycelia cause it's growing too slow. :smirk:

use scarification to gently abrade shell by placing in a small box containing medium grit sandpaper. Shake gently for about 40 seconds or so then place them in paper towel, or go directly into slightlty potting mix. water, but make sure drainage in pot or cup is good. do not over water.

In reference to your current attemt, the seeds may not be viable. You can go to Menards, home depot, or any major home&garden(hardware)store and you can buy small pots(legit)seeds, and incubators(germinators) which are trays that keep seeds and pots warm.

I've always placed seeds in a wet wash rag and left it in the dark for a week and ALWAYS had sprouts.

This works well. I have seen them sprout in as little as three days, though one to two weeks was more common.

Try keeping them on a moist chux rag in a plastic container on top of your computer.

I rap them in a fold of paper towels on a plate, and put them on a heating pad on low in a drawer. Just add water every morning and night at they sprout in 3 days.

hey, all i do is soak seeds for 24 hrs then paper towl it, they germinate fast!!!
