how much has changed since the intel pentium 4 processor was designed for the 448 socket
    #15652169 -

take a look:

http://www.astahost.com/info/ticml-intel-pentium-socket-478-775.html

YES YES YES...
The LGA 775 Socket was concibed for trespassing the 3.5 Ghz fronteer wich is imposible to pass using only 478 contacts between mother and CPU.
The LGA 775 also eliminates the electrmagnteic noises produced by the pin array by removing the pines, and has better surface of contact by using gold contacts surfaces, the surface of contact is no more a single point, it's now a a surface.
The only bad news on LGA 775 it's that the gold is very maleable and it's very sensible to contaminations and scratchs, and the socket on motherboard is also very "weak".
The "little wafer" (core) need to be "feeded" with data to process, and needs to delivery that processed data the fastest way possible, so the pins where the bottleneck for todays CPU, as AMD increases the number of pins for more than 900 intel opted to use 775 contacts with electromgnetic noise near to zero, and with more surface of contact they can carry more electrcity wich means more wats and more MHZ.
Intel announces the 1066 MHZ front side bus on Q1 - 05 using this socket. There is no way to reach that FSB using FPGA 478

Thanks Imachavel for informing us of this late breaking news! I can't wait to buy me a 775 socket CPU with 1066MHZ front side bus!! HOOO DOGY!!

hoo doggy. If I had to wake up one day, and not know that a 775 socket was from 7 years ago, I would feel so dumb! I mean it's like twice as many pins now! How can people not be obsessed with pc's and not know everything to know about them!! HOW!!

If you really want to wow us with 7 year old technology, use something more reputable, like Wikipedia or perhaps an actual tech news article, something that has some depth to it. Not a free hosting website that some fucktard is comparing two different sockets asking which one is better, when fucktard should be comparing what goes inside the sockets.

Then you quoted (without any form of quotation so I thought you were actually saying that stupid shit) with the second biggest retard's quote from that website to entice us to read what the fuck you're trying to say in this post. (The first biggest retard was asking if he could swap out the cpu from his desktop with the one from his laptop)

How about you start something more current and perhaps a little more interesting, like the tablets and ultra books from CES. Then compare it to something like the Osborne 1, the first mobile computer. Even then, is it worth making a post about it?

With the weird and random shit that you come up with, I believe you are somehow related to cleverbot.

Yeah, if your going to make a new thread, it would be helpful to make it clear what the topic for discussion is.  This isn't a hard and fast rule in this forum, but unless the content is pretty on-topic and provocative on its own, its helpful to start the discussion.  I'm not really sure what the point of this thread is.  In general, this forum is for discussion, not dumping content you've found elsewhere.

Another good point mentioned is that you should make it clear, when posting someone else's work under your name, that you are not the author.  A simple link or citation is fine.  Otherwise, its confusing and difficult to judge the quality of the source or representativeness of the excerpt posted.

imachavel: what is the purpose of this thread?  What do you wish to discuss, specifically?  Could you please start the discussion?
