Man boobs.

Okay so I am a pretty slim guy. I am 6 feet and weight 158 lbs. Everything about my figure is fine except for the fact I have cone shaped boobs. They are not large but they come out enough to poke through shirts to where people notice. I have tried eating less but my doctor said I cant lose more weight because of the medication I take. So I am at a delima, it is to the point where everywhere I go it is all I think people can see. It wouldnt bother me so much except for the fact people point it out and joke about it which is fine and all I can laugh at myself it just makes me thing EVERYONE notices and just doesnt say anything.
It is really impacting my self esteem and I would like some outside opinions.

Have you tried working out, specifically your chest? Maybe you can tone/reshape them? Just an idea someone with more gym background would know better then I. Or maybe go to a local gym for a consultation.

I go to the Y but I have no idea how to start a workout plan. Even if I did I feel like I could always come up with an excuse not to go. I would love to hire a personal trainer but I do not have money to spend like that.I was talking to my buddy who works out alot and he said you cant target weight loss,you have to burn everything on your body and your chest is the last place your body goes for fat. Problem is I am not even chubby I just have a large chest.

Your buddy is correct.  Can you flex these man boobs or do you know it is in fact just fat?  I ask cause hey, maybe it is just the shape of your body :shrug:

If it's fat, we can change that.

there are specific exercises to target that area, for example the various chest machines (besides the bench presses and push ups)

if your Y has a pool, swimming is a great way to work and tone those muscles...

and lipo is always a last resort

I am pretty sure they are just fat. I love to swim but for obvious reasons I never do in public because of my chest. If I had a pool to myself I would be swimming all the time.
And no I cannot flex them. If I jump the jiggle and bounce.

The only thing that's gonna help is trying to build your pectoral and maybe even deltoid muscles.  Cardiovascular exercises(raised heart beat) to burn your fat off, I like running, biking, wall ball.

3500 calories=1 pound of fat.  Losing fat sucks, I'm getting fat too right now so I'll be training it off when it warms up.  That's the bottom line, gotta run the fat away.

You need a prescription, or surgery.  You will not lose fat in that area, period.

this usually happens to people who take steroids. if your body takes in too much testosterone it will some how convert it to estrogen, thus growing boobies.  there is no known way to defeat this other than surgery.

have you ever done steroids?

Well, don't even try bench press, it's useless.

Me and my brothers all went through what you are living. A lot of teenagers get gynecomastia, but it usually fades at the end of puberty.

In my family, it doesn't end after puberty, my dad still got his boobs but since he's fat he never cared.

Me and my brothers got surgery for it, because of all the social discomfort it caused.

Go see a doctor and talk to him about it. I understand how you feel. I feel much more confident since I don't have manboobs.

My chest does not look perfectly normal because of the surgery, but it's still way better.

What you have in your boobs is not fat, you can't melt it down. It's the mammal gland.

I've actually gone through 2 surgerys to get rid of my man boobs. mine were a combination of gynocomastia and excess skin due to weight loss. my chest is shaped a little better now but there's no chance in hell I'd take my shirt off in public... my nipples are shaped way off and the scaring is pretty bad too. also the excess skin on my stomach sags and looks awful.

Dont really have too much of a recommendation as far as what you can do, but you're definitely not alone. Working out does help but it wont get rid of the problem. in all honesty, I'd look into surgery- just make sure who ever is doing it knows what they're doing.

Never done steroids but I do not know my family history because of a closed adoption. May I ask how much the surgary ran you guys?

If you don't know how to start a workout plan just do push- ups. Doing those everyday will get rid of your problem

Nope, it won't. At all. You'll have bigger pecs, still with cone nipples. I've seen it. Go on youtube and check out gynecomastia surgery.

I have man boobs.  It was terrible in high school.  Now I just don't give a fuck.

I lost 100 pounds and still have tits.

Bench press doesn't really help.  It makes the pecs bigger which makes the tits stand out even more.

If I ever win the lottery I'll pay for the surgery. Until then- if you don't like it, stop staring at my chest.
