With freezing temps setting in, no lotion and no olive oil, I used butter on my dry face this morning!

I would think that is a REALLY bad idea. You're gonna get some gnarly acne. I assume you're joking, and you're talking about masturbation, in which case, butter is a fabulous idea.

dry skin makes me break out. That and perfumes. Butter was all I had aside form silicone lube and I am surely not using lube on my face. Butter seems to be working out well. The temp of my skin keeps it from solidifying into my pores....

Silicone is awesome lube except that it does not wash off very easily... therefore it would fail as a face lotion.
