Everyone sign this petition to grant clemency to Timothy Tyler
    #15462859 -

I recieved and email from The Committee On Unjust Sentencing (COUS). They are doing a petition to try and get clemency for Timothy. He was sentenced to 2 life terms for sending LSD in the mail. He has been in prison since 1991. That means he has already served 20 years. More than any murder would normaly serve. Please spread the word so we can try to get real justice here.

Here is the web address to sign the petition. If it were us we would want someone to do the same.WWWS.Whitehouse.gov

Pease remember to vote for Ron Paul so we can go back and fix a country that our parents destroyed by falling into the trap of listening and believing everything they learn from TV.

Online petitions accomplish nothing.

No. It's not.

--------------------
You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it. ~ Adrian Rogers

Lol, grammer school?

IDK though, if the guy got caught sending something through the mail he may be better off in prison.  3 meals a day, activities, running water.  There is a lot to think about here really.  Too much for me to deal with.

the guy had hundreds of arrests for various drug offenses, he was dealing a
lot of drugs and was too stupid to learn from the other dozen times he'd
gotten busted. he had a fugitive warrant and charges pending for selling
1300 hits, starts his mail order business. the guy took advantage of most
of the people that took care of him. when he was finally taken before a
judge he was given a light sentence in 2 jurisdictions and still went
right back to doing the shit. it's what the courts see as a career
criminal and it's not like he didnt know the shit was against the law.

I disagree with the drug laws but that doesnt make it legal for me to sell
the shit. I know there's a penalty if I get caught. he seemed to be well
aware of it as well. the way I see it. the guy had a fun life while it lasted

read his story in his own words. I'm sure we'd get something a lot less
gentle if we were to get the stories from his family

i'm sure he did the wrong thing. but a sentence as severe as that for a mere drugs related charge is steep, when you compare it to murder and rape and other crimes.

I agree but that doesnt change the fact that these are the kinds of sentences
imposed for federal drug charges, it doesnt change the fact that what he did
was illegal because no one has yet changed the laws

This is a good point. And his own testimony is pretty poorly written, to say the least, assuming that is what it is.

That said. LIFE for LSD? Aside from the obvious irony that would be wasted on anyone who isn't experienced with the drug...was there anything regarding theft or dishonesty there that I missed? I mean, your logic is sound, but stupid. Just because you know you will probably get fucked by something you shouldn't do it? Even if what you do isn't something infringing upon anyone else, nor an act of violence, dishonesty or disenfranchisement?

It's like that old saying, if all your friends went outside and drove cars and crossed roads, would you? Since that shit is more dangerous than staying inside where all the household fatalities occur...wait. At least the prison is probably privately funded...right?

I need you to put your tongue on these bare wires and tell me if there's any voltage

my logic is sound because it's sound, if it were stupid it wouldnt be sound logic

now the way I see it, he made his choices, he fucked himself all because he did something he shouldnt have done, let him rot

how does that change the law, something that's been in place long before
were were here, what good is it doing him if he hasnt infringed on others
freedoms when what he did was still against the law and no one has done
anything to change it... it doesnt.

while the analogy is a little odd, it certainly applies, let's say you
crossed the road because I did but you get hit by a car and end up in the
hospital... maybe we should start a petition to get you out of the
hospital because you really dont deserve to be in the hospital because you
didnt do anything to hurt anyone else but we totally need to free you from
the hospital and that machine that's keeping you alive... wait.

he's living with the consequences of his actions, if I get hit by a car,
I'm living with the consequences of mine

The fact is, jail isn't designed for you to like it.

On the other hand, I don't know wtf....
