Puscifer - Conditions of My Parole

Just a-wondering what Shroomery thinks of the new Puscifer album. I think it makes much better use of what Maynard is good at, which is being amusing and singing along to decent beats and stuff.

I need to give them a listen to.  Tool is legindary, perfect circle I've heard good things and now Puscifer, Maynard James is one busy son of a bitch.

Tool and APC are kickass, not sure why Puscifer sucks so bad, but I sure don't like them.

My guess is that all the talent in APC and Tool was coming from someone besides Maynard.

But there's some "serious" or "meaningful" attempts in the new album... see the second song I posted. :laugh:

I agree with LayinUp.  Pucifer is an uncomfortably almost funny departure from the more serious Tool/APC stuff that attracted me to Maynard's voice and lyrics in the first place.

Second song sounds cool though.

He is getting old. And ofc his taste for music changes. This puscifer project has even more wisdom in it, then APC or TOOl, imo. But since the music is different I can see why so many people dont recognize this.
Beside Puscifer is kind of a experiment. I heard Maynard saying somewhere that the music they create, they do it in a way to sound more interesting(experimental) then appealing( to old tool and apc fans IMO).
And the lyrics are still 'deep' but more straightforward IMO, then tool lyrics which just tend to be mystical or something.

I went to a friend's house last weekend to trip and there was a bunch of people snorting all sorts of shit off this glasstop  table, so this girl goes to do a line of coke and she somehow did k instead she flipped shit and sat and cried on the couch for like an hour we played this song for her lol "all hands on deck"

I like "C" is for (Please Insert Sophomoric Genitalia Reference HERE) there are some jems on that, but a lot of puscifer is not that great.

i have all the tool and apc cd's and i have puscifer's v is for vagina and v is for viagra remix cd and i respect it all... i mean i can understand saying you feel a little let down is one thing but to say something sucks when musically it doesn't, i just don't know... i will admit i prefer do prefer tool and apc but this is just maynard doing his thing... i don't have this cd yet but i intend to... circastes, i preferred the second song you posted but instrumentally speaking the first song was very cool too... i appreciate you taking the time to put it up there... and PNW FunGal and idiot, thanks for your posts too... very cool...
