I dont mean to be a jerk, but how do you know for sure that salvia isn't harmfull? What if they find out in 5 years that it damages the cytoskeliton of neurons in a peticular area of the brain or something.

We dont. We dont "know" shit. They thought they knew how life began on earth till afew years ago. Now they think that it actully started in the bottom of the ocean by the volcanic holes. People used to "know" the world was flat. Right now we know salvia is harmless, that can change.

Well... we "know" how mushrooms work. We know what systems they work on, what molecules they interact with, whatever. Salvia is a big mystery.

I dunno man I remember reading a document from some guys who were doing some research on it, and they found quite a bit of new information on it... I'll scan around later this evening and see if I can track that down - it was a document made to protest its prohibition

Its "convince". No offence, But I think that people like you (what ive vread of you) make the government want to illigalize the drug salvia. Your Ma will probably see you on salvia, and take you to the ER. Parents are crazed when it comes to drugs. Get a P.O box to get the salvia sent to. I wouldent tell her and keep it to yourself. If your parents arent cool with you having a bong then dont have one. If you show your parents that you are responsible they will give you your privacy and overlook your smoking. Good luck

No we dont. Scientists dont even understand how the brain works let alone trips. They understand theres a chemical that goes in the brain that looks like other chemicals and interacts w/ receptors but they dont know why it makes you trip.

I've only tried dried salvia leaf through a bong on a couple of occasions in moderate doses a few years back and am in no rush to try it again.

This techno DJ I know who's been taking all kinds of drugs for years tried salvia extract and said it was the most horrible trip in his life. He ended up freaking out and got rushed to hospital just in time because his throat swelled up so much that he couldn't even breathe and had to have all these tubes shoved down his throat to pump oxygen into his lungs.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean it can't fuck you up.

The first words out of my mouth when I 'came back' after smoking salvia for the first time were, "I don't know that I liked that." It is not a recreational drug, for me at least.

Is this something you actually saw, or heard from the person that it happened to, or is this something that a friend of a friend told my uncle's sister? If it is true, this is the first negative physical reaction I have heard regarding salvia.

If you're getting scared by Salvia journeys then you need to journey a few more times to 'break through'. Once you have broken through, fear doesn't have a place in your 'trip' (To be fair, neither does happiness).

Fear is unknown, in fact everyting becomes unfamilliar and surreal but I wouldn't say scary, just VERY intense. I find the first 2 minutes of the Salvia journey to be mind-blowing )again, not frightening), as I get alot of visuals and all objects seem to 'come to life'. I also experience pulling, pushing forces and sinking into objects/plummeting into an endless abyss. However, after perhaps 5 mins I am lying back, totally lost in thought, forgetting myself and my body and having the most realistic, amazing inner mind/closed eye visuals ever, in which I control the landscapes I walk and 'feel' the weather.

I bought 3.5 oz.s of salvia a couple months ago, Ive only used the salvia 2 times, i have no intrest in it really. I smoked it out of a bong and yes, when it hits you it is intense and there is no euphoria or ne thing. ur just left with a confused tripping state of mind for a little bit and during that time, ur off balance; its difficult to move around or walk.

The point is, I have plenty of salvia but after trying it, i dont even really care about it ne more.

He told me this story himself after a party when we were coming down at a friends house. It sounds to me like it could have possibly been a acute allergic reaction but it's certainly put me off trying salvia extract.
