Yes this is the most honest reply so far imo.

No one knows if the universe is conscious of itself imo. Those who believe it do so because someone told them so.  So...

This is annoying, I have no original thought, never figured anything out myself, just too damned stupid. Gratitude for Alan Watts, Timothy Leary and Terence McKenna for the most satisfying explanations. Without the words of these people my reality would be far more lonely and drunk. There are many others who I've learned from too. But I agree, what can I say that I was not told? nothing! I am so full of shit and I'm going to puke.

The Universe is conscious of itself?
Then how annoyed at itself is it for not realizing that it is, in fact itself.. The Universe.. ?

Me either,  I don't know what is true by any means but I am pretty good at spotting the bs of others that claim they know.

there are lots of things that are obviously not true.

I just ran 3 million miles. Finished 5 minutes ago.
You don't know the truth of what I actually did but it is pretty easy to see the bullshit in that statement.

Just because one can recognize bullshit doesn't necessarily mean that they can also recognize the truth; also, just because one can't recognize the truth doesn't necessarily mean that they can't recognize bullshit.

I disagree... if you don't know what's true then you can't say what's false.  For example, if I don't know what's true then I can't validly claim that a certain statement X is false because it could be true for all I know.  However, pragmatically speaking, I can recognize bullshit because I have a pretty good idea what's true and what's false, even if I don't know these things for certain.

Yeah I'v made a similar argument refuting the claim that it is "impossible for anyone to know" one thing or another.

If one admits they do not know what the truth is than how are they suppose to be able to say whether or not that truth can or cannot be known.

are you serious.  we are all made of atoms that came from exploding stars, part of a process of evolution that has been happening since the big bang.  The atoms in our bodies (by themselves) aren't any more conscious than the atoms in a sock.  Both the sock and our bodies are the universe.  But people are self conscious and socks aren't. Our atoms have obviously formed in a pattern capable of intelligence. So...we are the universe conscious of itself, by definition.  It's logically impossible to be any other way.

Personally I think that everything is consciousness/intelligence, but even if you don't think that, it's still pretty obvious that chronic's claim is true.

If I have a list of propositions that I know to be false, then I can automatically create a list of propositions that I know to be true simply by taking the negations of the elements of my original list.  Knowing what's false therefore entails knowing what's true.

what if your knowledge is limited and your unable to recognize that falsehoods remain in X? you can't automatically assume everything else must be true because you generated a list of falsehoods... it's why when you read conclusions of research studies... generally all of them state towards the end that further studies are necessary... because they recognize that other possibilities may remain...

No? Well technically socks developed after humans, so aren't they further evolutionarily advanced?
I mean, and if everything is one, then maybe Socks created humans, who had feet, for them to be able to express themselves all over..
