(Stupid long read, pretty much a dream journal entry)
6mg is technically overkill, unless you're dependent on sleep aids anyway. I've been dependent on diphenhydramine for a long time, taking 75mg of that a night, sometimes a hundred, and 3mg of melatonin doesn't do anything.
However, taking 10-15mg gets me deep into the REM cycle, and I wake up feeling amazingly refreshed.
The lucid dreams are amazing.
One night I took 2 shots of liquor, 1 hit of dank, 50mg tramadol, and 10mg melatonin and HOLY SHIT.
I was at a giant festival, there are a million details I will spare, but eventually I was taken to this room that was like a wood attic of a house, a fairly small room, dimly lit, with a handful of people, and I was the subject of something going on.
It seemed like some dark magic shaman was preparing his tools for the event.
He had some sort of amazing strange head gear that kept his face from sight. I think a drug was injected.
He covered my whole body, it seemed vaguely like a sheet of cardboard, then the whole place started shaking violently, like an earthquake in a warzone, and I was being held down and shit was flapping everywhere, I was screaming and spazzing out, lights flashing, going dark, convinced that this dark lord was bringing doom to the festival.
I saw a scary large shiny metal device before it began, with a circular thingymabob that spun as he said, "I've been working on this"
Then he used that device on me as the violent rumbling shitstorm raged on. I couldn't see, but I felt it penetrate my chest, my insides, mixing everything up in a fury while the circular saw-like worked its way through my face. Absolutely horrifying.
Then my screams transitioned into music, and the cardboard turned into a majestic flowing silk-ish cloth, waving in the windless air. I could see in the room, which was transformed into a wide open sacred-feeling place. The people I was with were transformed into smooth-skinned characters that looked like some eastern old art style, with exaggerated heads. They were dancing gracefully to my trance singing. I realized that while I was in a dream state my sleeping body was actually singing, in real life, and the muffled bass heard inside my body filled the room like a magical music hall. My body was the hall, resonating with my voice.
A soft bass hum from me felt so perfect and sounded amazing and the vibration matched with everything in this serene paradise. I tried to change the music, and I noticed I was forcing it, and it sounded terrible, then the leader put his hand against one character's forehead, who I believed was me, projected and transformed in my own dream, softly dancing to my own sleeping voice. He then pushed it away with a snap of the wrist as if to say "you're fucking it up"
It ended (not the dream) and I felt amazing. Everyone in the room was silent and kinda amused at how fucking crazy I went. They said I was screaming "It's a terrorist attack!!!!!" I got the feeling that I passed a test and felt reborn.
I spent the next hour or so in the dream frolicking through the festival, happy about everything, talking to people like they were my best friend and I was happy to see them, I had enthusiasm around people! Which I never do in large crowds. Or any crowds. It was like a shitty part of me was ripped to shreds.
I woke up feeling different. Like I had actually gone through that experience. It was like an exorcism or something. It may have been a dream but I felt like a new person that day, who conquered something in reality.
Then I jerked off to porn and I think the magician's pissed at me again.
Tramadol, man... I got it for an injury recently, and good lord the dreams are real.
