what's a good herbal sedative that'll actually put me to sleep?

I'm talking something quite a bit more potent than chamomile or valerian root... kratom is outta the question, as it usually just leaves me in a wierd semi-sleep state, which is cool, but not when I actually want to sleep and wake up for work refreshed... kava tends to leave me a little out of it in the morning still (well, aternoon, I work 3:30 pm - 1:30 am)

gotta be legal as well...

trying to stay away from benzos these days.

easier said than done... I live in alberta, it's damn near impossible to find a doc that'll prescribe that shit.. even terminally ill patients have trouble..

and even if I could get a prescription, I'd have a hell of a time finding a vendor anywher even remotely close... It's far easier/convenient just relying on the black market.

melatonin isn't an herb but it helps.

actually it does... but I forgot to mention, not that either... because like at least 50% of the time, I get wicked bouts of sleep paralysis for some reason... which can be good if I'm looking to induce an OBE..  but for sleep in general, I try to stay away, as it's a bit of a Gamble if I'll get a good sleep or not... I dod have some handy usually though, mostly for nights I know I have nothing to do the next day...

sucks it does what it odes to me so often as when it works, it works well

though if someone else reading this is curious about the same thing (herbal sedatives) and isn't susceptible to sleep paralysis, I also recommend it :thumbup:

oh and btw... I'd just google it or something... but I'm using my girlfriends dads computer right now, and for some reason, when you click on a link in a google search, it just takes you to a random site.. pretty sure it's a virus... but, that's a topic for another thread.

Catnip tea. Chinese used catnip as a sleep aid, till they realized cats would go crazy over the stuff. Take natural catnip, put it in a coffee filter, let it sit in hot water. It has a sweetness to it. But u can add lemon and honey. Not bad.

What about Hops? (Humulus lupulus)
