what a great series!! it's a bit slow to start, and it takes a while to build up, but it really builds to some great crescendos and overall, and now i know i over use this alot, but

dude, when i heard about BSG as well, i was like ' yeah right... star trek ' , and pidgeon holed it as one of those shitty ' beam me up scottay ' *seperates hand into the star trek thang* , but honestly BSG is a really great series, it's not even really a sci-fi series, it's more about the problems of society and the struggles between the characters, its not nerdy at all in my mind, or atleast it's not as nerdy as it appears to be

yeah but that is one spun out bird tho ay

I thought the first few seasons were amazing.. it kinda tanked when they were stuck on that planet with Baltar as president. I don't think it ever fully recovered.

Overall really solid though. I liked it.

it had it's less stellar moments ofcourse, but overall i thought it was fairly consistent, and some parts to the story were also pretty damn intricate as well. but yeah, if i were to nit pick at the series, i'd say some of the plot turns were too drastic or seemed like the writers were kind of clutching for straws, i.e.

- spend 3 seasons searching for earth
- find earth
- uninhabitable, pack up and leave in one day :crazy3: ?!?

and there are a few other examples as well of plot twists or events that just didn't suit the general flow of the show, or they felt kind of out of place if that makes sense. i dunno.

as i said though, overall, i thought it was great. i thought it was going to be a shitty series but was actually really impressed by BSG

The first 2 seasons were really excellent. After that it got kind of weird, but it was still a decent show. I didn't like the ending particularly much.

yeah same, thats another grievance i had, in that they set up the whole perfect ending, cylon and human truce, and then chief goes and fucks it all up and they start killing eachother again :wtfsonic: , thats what i mean about plot twists that were kind of too much and didn't fit the flow of the series

it had epic moments though ---> odama being shot  :omfg:

me personally i think season 4 is the best season by far, especially in the first half. so much happens in the episodes and yeah it was just a really enjoyable watch. i couldn't keep to one episode a day, because it would end on the biggest cliff hanger moments, and the credits come up and your just like god damnit...i can't stop watching there, not with what just happened

I imagine if there were a lot of naked cylon titties it would have been the greatest show ever. Also a starbuck lesbian see would have been pretty bitchin'.

That's not the point. The point is starbuck would completely dominate the other woman.
