Battlestar Galactica!

Anyone else like it?
I got into it when Sci Fi was showing all the episodes this week, ramping up for the final season.
Now I'm renting the DVDs and I love it, but I'm a total science fiction/fantasy junkie anyway.
Anyone seen the original from the 70s? I've only seen like one episode and thought it was way too cheesy.

I've seen 2-3 seasons. I need to catch up, but don't have the time. Maybe this summer.

i don't know what season it is but i'm watching every episode, a great show. not as good as babylon 5 though but it has potential.

Yeah, Babylon 5 was the shit. Got a little slow after the shadow wars, but still pretty good.

I'm a Doctor Who addict myself. Dr. Who is, btw, the nerdiest of all the sci-fi shows. :nerd:

Never got into Babylon, and in fact I don't get into too much SciFi in general - not that I avoid it willfully, but I just don't seem to happen upon it naturally. At any rate, I am absolutely in love with the new Battlestar Galactica. Granted, I haven't seen but more than a peak of the old series, which was only running for one year (I should really check it out). But the first three seasons of the new BG have been some of the best times I've spent in front of the tube I'll tell ya. The current season, the fourth, is scheduled to be the final season. I'll be waiting until the season is 3/4 of the way through to watch it however, so that I can go through two or three at each setting (commercial free). One spliced up episode per week is simply not satisfying enough for me!

It is a great show, and they're making a prequel right after BSG ends called Caprica - I think it's like 50 years before the events in BSG.
I've seen them all, minus the last 4-5 episodes from the last season, watched the premier on Friday and was confused bad. One of the better shows on tv, and gives Sci-Fi a little less of a geeky look. Wish it wasn't a mini series. :frown:
