Battlestar Galactica is . . .

. . . the greatest show on television. The end.

Yeah its a great show.  I passed out at a buddy of mine's one night and when i woke up on the couch the next morning, his dad was sitting in his chair watching battlestar galactica.

I packed us up a nice bong with some chron+hash and we got stoned and watched like 7 episodes.  The greatest thing about getting high with adults is that they always cook real food.  We had the best breakfast EVER - his return payment for the great drugs i gave him

"in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

You mean Razor, the movie event between seasons 3 and 4?  It's pretty awesome if you're already a nerd about the show but if you don't watch the show it's pointless to watch.

Isn't it one of those shows where if you don't watch it from the first episode you don't understand it?

I hate shows like that.

Every six months or so you make a grand proclamation that BG is the best show ever and I tell myself I'll watch some.

I don't think I've ever seen an episode!

I think it was good in the beginning... the mini series, season 1 and the start of season 2.  It very much went downhill for me after that, I think it is the writing I dont like.  The storyline of the last few season (and the recent return from the hiatus) just seems so corny and silly, trite and predictable, lacking inspiration and intrigue.  Its filled with interpersonal drama and relationships.  And then the cylons and humans join together?  And go to earth hand in hand?  Puh-lease.  Then they leave the cliffhanger there on earth, and come back from the break and its nothing - completely lack luster.

I tried to get into that show, it had an interesting story, I wanted to know about if they managed to escape from cylon imprisonment, but in the end, the fucking fucked up fucking fuck language got to me.

Say fuck, or fuck off.*

*Serenity/Firefly in contrast, I could cope with goram, or swearing in foriegn. I can cope with that. For a start, it wasn't every sentence, unlike flak this or flak that in BG. It was used sparingly, and goram sounds real. I can imagine people 500 years from now would say goram.

PS: When watching the show, I hated the bit at the beginning, when they flash the entire episode. HEY! I'm going to watch it! I don't need a summary for something I'm going to WATCH

I've never watched this show, but I started downloading it the other day, season 1 is almost done.  I kinda pumped to see what all the fuss is about.
