When it feels like you've got something in your eye

You know when you feel like you have something in you eye, like an eyelash, but then you look in the mirror and nothing is in there, how do you get rid of that? For about 5 hours I've had this goddamn eye irritation and I cant get rid of it. It feels like an eyelash or dirt or something, but no matter how many times I flush my eye out, it still feels like shit. Anyone know how to fix that?

drench your eye in eye drops/water.

if problem persists, see your physician.

I FUCKING HATE THAT!!!!!!!!!! Its so goddamn annoying its jsut there testing your patience i wanna poke out my eye its so bad sometimes.No mater what you do it just dosent go way.Fucking really sucks.

When that happens I usually start punching myself (in the thigh or head or chest). I takes my mind off the irritation pretty good.

few possibities

allergies: usually associated with other allergy symptoms but not always. there are allergy eye drops available otc. will most likely be both eyes instead of just one.

scratch: might not always remember it happening. time heals but it might be a good idea to see a doc if you think thats it.

infection: bacterial will usually produce pus and crusties. viral symptoms will vary. person should see a doc.

with any of these you can always use plain eye lubricant (no redness remover!) to produce some relief until you can see a doc.
