Hydroponic Mushroom Cultivation - You think this'll work?

I've seen posts before about hydroponic mushroom cultivation that would supply continueous flushes. I know quite a bit of information about hydroponics and little about mycology/mushrooms, so let me know if you think this is a feasable idea. What if you were to have a BRF cake and have a syringe or sturdy, firm tube going up the middle that every once and a while on an automated system injected nutrients into the cake, maybe purred grain so purred (purayed) it'd be a liquid that still had the nutrients, but could be easily added to a cake to keep supplying fresh nutrients. I know this doesn't sound very sterile, but it's just an idea that I had that could be used with more sterile equipment. Say you had a CD spindle, take the plastic dome off it, turn it upside down and drill a hole in the stem that goes through the center of the CD's that are obviously off of the spindle, then have a syrgine or tube going up the stem to make a sort of tray for the cake, and the stem could just house the tubing or syringe that would supply the nutrients. Any ideas? I really don't know shit as to if this would work, it's just an idea I'm tossing out there, tell me what you think.

Mushroom farming via hydroponic application would not work well. Simply put, they don't grow the same as other things that can be hydroponicly cultivated.
