Wal-mart ripped me off
    #14959964 -

I ordered a straight talk phone and minutes card from Walmart.com and the only way they send the minutes cards to you is to send the pin # to your email. So the minutes card got delivered to my email 5 days before my phone and when I tried to activate my phone with that minutes card, it did not work. So either walmart ripped me off or someone hacked my email and stole the pin, which seemed unlikely but could have happened I suppose.

Now... how do I get my money back from these pricks? The only contact info on the website is an email address and a physical address. I have emailed them and they sent me automated and semi automated responses saying that since I opened the email and attempted to use the pin#, that they could not refund or exchange it. To which i said, if I go to a walmart store and bought a microwave, brought it home, plugged it in and it did not work, would you not give me a new microwave? Which got me another semi automated response saying the same thing as the first email they sent but with a little less sugar on it.

So it seems clear to me that I will not get any satisfaction or compensation by emailing back and forth with what might as well be computers, but are probably people contracted to read and reply to walmart.com emails from their house or walmart employees that will get punished in some way if they actually have to refund something. But what do I do now? What is the next course of action I need to take to get my $45 back from this company? How do you bite back when you can't find anyone to sink your teeth into?

That is the initial reaction, yes, but I am trying to find other options. It's amazing how fast we think "I'll burn that motherfucker down..." even if we don't have the balls to do it isn't it?Where does that come from? Movies?

Why don't you just return it and say it didn't work.

it's just a pin number in my email. No physical card. Which is pretty fishy anyway I think, why not just send me a card with the phone?

Go to Wal Mart customer service with or without your receipt, explain your situation and you will get a store credit which you can use to buy anything in store.

No questions will be asked.

Tell them you want a physical card. Instead of a number to your email.
