From the forum rules:

This isn't a playground or a free-for-all. Post for a reason, not just to hear yourself talk. If you aren't posting anything which requires you to be anonymous, use another forum. If you want to mess around use your journal.

My question, was there a reason this needs to be in Anom?

My father has hundreds of thousands in solid gold.

I'll sit back in pity as the rest of the world goes to hell

yeah, it scares me a bit......

im somewhat concerned about what might happen, if the world collapses in on itself... i feel that if it happens it will be relatively sudden...

all i can say, is that I plan on being somewhat prepared ....

By the time you find out, everyone else will find out too.

Beat the rush, stock up on months of food before the shelves are empty.

Buy solid gold bars, not gold futures which are only paper.  Do this BEFORE the dollar is worthless.

In order to prepare for the collapse of the world economy you have to do this BEFORE it happens, or you'll be fucked like everyone else.

all of you say gold gold gold.......

when you have an ounce bar of gold, theoretically worth $5000
are you really going to use that to buy a loaf of bread? i mean yeah, supposing that the world restores to order, it will get you up and on top....

but in the mean time.... it aint gonna do you any fucking good.

Use it to buy land.  Grow your own food on the land.

A collapsed world economy will not allow for the laziness and unskilled nature of America's modern humans.

With paper money worth nothing, we will be back to a bartering/trading society.  Bartering societies do not produce sterilized packages of enriched white bread.

ownership of land will be irrelevant, atleast the ownership of land prior to the collapse, in whatever form it may take.

possession of land on the other hand, and the ability to defend it will however make a difference.

you guys all need to realise, that you have no control over the ensuing crisis whatsoever. i'm not saying this to scare anyone, but you are not in a position to prevent or worsen the crisis, nothing you do will have any bearing on the situation in the slightest.

so fuck it! why bother wasting time on it. cross the bridges when you get to them.

and beat your wife, i can't believe they closed that thread, that thread was glorious :shakefist:

im not saying anything like that....

but, you have to realize, that after the breakdown of the social order, a deed to your house, really wont mean shit.... if you cant defend it from intruders... same goes for any land and crops you might have....

people will take what they want, and when it comes down to a shortage of necessities for life, such as food and water etc..... some of these things will come down to fights to the death.....

if there are 1 billion and the earth and existing supplies can only support 100 million, the 900 million who are going to die.. are all going to fight, kill, steal, etc as hard as they can to try and survive.... its just human nature.

i said this way back in 2009/10 when everyone thought the original crisis was over. it wasn't over, it was just subdued, the big one is on its way.
