Im not sure this has been posted on this site before. but anyways there is a theory that magic mushrooms psilocybin was actually in fact the body of christ, the holy sacrament!

there is another theory that the blood of christ was amanita muscaria stating that water was collected off the tops of amantia muscaria during its growing proscess because the tops edges turn upwards to form a "grail"  and will collect water. the water will turn a reddish pinkish color immitating blood you would then drink this while you eat the body of christ aka the "bread" the psilocybin mushroom!

I dont know if anyone has ever seen this painting of jesus before but there are 4 "mushroom like" images is this painting of christ


The far right is a amanita muscaria, the blue one next to that represents psilocybin mushrooms, the 2nd mushroom object represents a syrian rue plant which is supposed to greatly increase the effects of other psychedlics (aka amanita/psilocybin) and there 1st shroom like object represents the opium plant because of its relaxing properties and to help with the trip of the other mushrooms... this was all said in the "pharmacratic inquisition".

I get the whole Manna thing, but.... I don't see how you would get the new testament connection. I just highly doubt that Jesus would be talking about mushrooms at the last supper.

Just so you know, in hebrew the term used for "Bread" is defined as:

1) bread, food, grain
a) bread
1) bread
2) bread-corn
b) food (in general)

The term for bread in greek (what the new testament was written in) is defined as:

Food composed of flour mixed with water and baked

a) the Israelites made it in the form of an oblong or round cake, as thick as one's thumb, and as large as a plate or platter hence it was not to be cut but broken
b) loaves were consecrated to the Lord
c) of the bread used at the love-feasts and at the Lord's Table

There is a lot lost in translation from aramaic to english and this is something many people miss when trying to interpret the bible. I personally don't believe that christ was anything more than a man, but that is just me. I don't know how you could buy into the idea that the references to bread in the new testament are somehow beckoning christians to eat psychoactive mushrooms. I think that the mushrooms probably helped the jews out a bit when they were hungry and, like the rest of the bible, god was made to be a hero for a miracle which is actually a simple natural occurrence.

Not saying god isn't responsible for mushrooms or the earth's bounty or anything, just saying he most likely did not rain bread down fromt he sky.

I think it was animata muscaria that was known to grow where he wrote it.

let's completely forget that the jews were supposedly wandering around the sinai desert. go check it out and lemme know how many a. muscaria you find. also, nevermind the fact that pretty much all food breeds parasites etc. when left to rot.

Even if people did used to take mushrooms and think they were meeting god, and that did cause religons to form, that does not in any way imply that when you take mushrooms you are genuinely meeting god (or having a supernatural experience). Mushrooms have a chemical in them that alters the way your brain works. That's it.

Sure, it's an opinion. But it's an opinion grounded in extensive theological and scientific education, neither of which the shroom-guy video creator seems to have received. I could, in theory, clearly demonstrate to you that psilocybin alters brain activity. You could not clearly demonstrate to me that psilocybin is the body of christ- that is a much much weaker opinion, founded on a much weaker set of assumptions.

I didnt say there was any truth to this. But to dismiss it becuase it does not
fit your personal views is no better.

I think its interesting. Im not trying to prove or dismiss anything here.
