where can one buy cocnuts at

Theres coconuts at the grocery store here in Ohio, no one ever buys them they just sit forever.

We have them at Kroger, Publix and occasionally Walmart.

Do you have any whole foods stores or farmer's markets near you? That may be your best bet.

Most grocery stores around here carry them in the produce section. I got curious and bought one once. When I finally got the thing open it tasted nasty as hell. Maybe you're not supposed to eat them alone and raw :shrug::lol:

Probably just got a bad one.

I don't like coconut paired with anything, but by by itself it's amazing. (I got curious, too, a few weeks ago!) The flower guy at publix even cracked it for me and separated the water.

Every single coconut I have bought from a store in the mid west was rotten and inedible.

I stopped trying.

Here in Socal you can get a case of young delicious coconuts at many places
I don't see how that would be much different, as they stay good for quite a while, refrigerated they stay fresh for weeks

I can mail you some if you really can't find them.  They grow naturally here, so they are about as fresh as you get in the states, besides Hawaii. 

The weight on average is about 3 lbs each.
